Dynamic Energy Beam – Real-Time VFX

This beam effect was created as my final project, drawing inspiration from Gavin Crosslands’ dynamic visual style and the concept art by Requin Cobalt. The design focuses on strong directional energy and impactful, stylized lighting to create a visually striking centerpiece.

My key goals for this piece were to capture the intensity and flow of energy portrayed in the original concept while translating it into a real-time effect. I aimed to explore the use of layered particle systems and shader techniques to achieve a vivid glow and dynamic movement, emphasizing clarity and readability in the effect.

This project allowed me to deepen my understanding of complex VFX workflows and sharpen my skills in translating 2D concept art into immersive 3D visual effects that can be used in games or interactive media.
